Harper Lee’s Big News

On of my favorite books is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I loved reading about Scout, Jem, Atticus, and all of the characters this book tells us about. I was very excited to hear that Harper Lee announced on February 3rd, 2015 that she would be releasing her second book called Go Set a Watchman (Flood and Lewis). The new novel’s plot focuses on Scout Finch going back to Maycomb to visit her father Atticus Finch (Flood and Lewis). The new book uses Scout Finch’s point of view as a grown up (Flood and Lewis).

Lee believed that she had lost Go Set a Watchman, but was extremely excited when her lawyer Tonja Carter had found it for her (Flood and Lewis). I can only imagine how she must have felt finding out that she still had it. To Kill a Mockingbird was and remains extremely popular since it is still read in most high schools today. I hope to read her new novel soon after it is in stores. I am very curious to find out more about my favorite characters.
