Dopamine by BØRNS Album Review

Garrett Borns, known by his stage name, BØRNS, released his debut album called Dopamine last Friday. Originally from Michigan, he moved to Los Angeles to record music and launch his career. Since the release of his debut EP in 2014, Candy EP, he has been gaining considerable attention for his electronic-pop beats and feel-good lyrics.

Dopamine includes three of his songs from his previous EP, 10,000 Emerald Pools, Electric Love and Past Lives. Overall, the lighthearted album shows off Borns’s incredible ability to hit high notes and write catchy lyrics. He sings about all-consuming feeling of new love and lust, and the hopeless feeling that comes when you lose it. This album proves that BØRNS can’t release a mediocre song and he makes it impossible not to feel the urge to sing along.
